Nigel Marven previews new Colombia documentary series at National Geographic Store

The British wildlife presenter, television producer, author, and ornithologist spent the afternoon with some of the UK’s leading travel writers sharing his experiences of Colombia, the country’s varied terrains and the incredible wildlife he encountered along the way. Detailing unique encounters with a host of monkeys, snakes, spiders and birds; the 25 journalists who attended the event were also treated to an exclusive world preview of his forthcoming documentary series “Wild Colombia”, which won’t air until November this year on the Eden Channel.

“Nigel’s passion for Colombia is infectious and his presentation perfectly encapsulated Colombia’s magnificent and diverse landscapes and the incredible fauna which inhabit them. We are truly honored that Nigel chose our event to showcase the first clips from his new documentary, and we can’t wait to watch the whole series when it comes out,” commented Juan Guillermo Perez, the Director of PROCOLOMBIA - Colombia’s Tourism, Foreign Investment and Exports Promotions Agency.

This interactive seminar formed part of Colombia’s 28 day awareness campaign in London. The tourism drive has incorporated a month long taker over of the National Geographic Store in London and a number of pop up events incorporating Victoria Train Station, Westfield London and Harrods. The premise behind each of the events is to showcase the warmth of the Colombian people, the richness of the country’s architecture, the awe inspiring vistas and the phenomenal cultural spectrum that Colombia has to offer the UK tourism market.
